First Deployment of Data Source Inventory

Describes the requirements of the Dataset Inventory (DSI), and how the interface seeks to meet these requirements; it discusses the data sources combined in the Metadata Store (MDS), how the DSI is initially implemented.

The DSI, a user interface front-end to the MDS, is intended to be the interface Link Authors use to find the dataset metadata they need. Equally Link Consumers can discover and subscribe to metadata about linkets created by the LATC 24/7 Platform. The MDS provides an interface for components of the LATC 24/7 Platform to write metadata to (metadata describing datasets, linksets, quality assurance reports, and related items of interest), and a SPARQL endpoint for them to read the data from.
